Post Punk, New Wave, Brit Pop & Beyond 1980 – 2010. The second season of The Early Days compilation likes to play with the 90s, sometimes looking back a bit, but also blinking briefly into the 00s. It captures the moment when rock, pop and dance merged, tells how Brit Pop came into being and comes to the credits when the lights in Manchester slowly went out again. Analogous to The Early Days party series, which takes place monthly in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Chemnitz, Nuremberg and Essen, the compilation focuses on a scene-relevant selection, which does not stop at big names and sometimes reveals where streaming reaches its limits. The Early Days Vol. 2 gives you the feeling of having really been there, holds a mirror up to the epoch and does without anachronisms.
