The real blues is no longer news for a long time. Here you will find 16 electrified post war firecrackers, recorded between Chicago and New Orleans, which often only had a short life as a 7" single and which are sought-after collector's items today. This music was played in sweaty clubs and at house rent parties in the 50s and early 60s. And still today you can dance to it excellently, because all tunes are fast, rough and made to shake the tailfeather. Volume 3 of the Rockinitis series is shared by two DJ heavyweights: Bill Kealy from Wexford/Ireland has been providing packed dance floors for 30 years. What started with the Animals and Kinks led him to search for their influences and the electric blues of the 50s. Nowadays, he plays all over Europe and is resident at The Federal Rhythm & Blues Club in Crewe and For Dancers Only in Dublin. Steve Longworth spent his youth as a dancer at the legendary Wigan Casino. He has been a DJ for 20 years and has carried his record case to events such as Soulful Shack, Down In The Basement and The Ad-Lib. He now spins from Barcelona to Melbourne and is currently a resident at the Room At The Top Party in Sheffield.
