In 2018 The New Black guitarist Fabian Schwarz decided to take a bold step out of his comfort zone and started Who Brought The Dog, a solo project far removed from anything he had ever recorded before. He deliberately closed his metal roots by experimenting with a rock sound that found its way into indie, blues, alternative, funk, jazz, punk and even pop. In 2019, the project with drummer Philipp Klinger and guitarist Benjamin Haupt also gained a foothold as a live act, which led to the present and equally schizophrenic album. Lyrical in the world of real people and situations, the songs are based on a solid rock foundation on which Fabs builds in unexpected directions.
