The impressive Finnish metal psychedelicists Oranssi Pazuzuzu and their Tampere colleagues Dark Buddha Rising, known for their grandiose Slug-Paced ritualist Doom Metal, have recorded a new album together which will be released on Svart Records on April 5, 2019! The merger of the two bands will be merged on the album Syntheosis and released under the name Waste of Space Orchestra. Syntheosis started as his kind of commissioned work for the Roadburn Festival. The festival, which began as a small meeting of stoner rock addicts, has evolved over the years into a four-day heavy music festival in all its possible forms and interpretations, from riff worship to extreme soundscapes and much more. The list of Roadburn performers over the years is a true Who's Who of Underground Heavy Culture, from Neurosis and Sleep to Godflesh has played everything that's of any rank. Syntheosis was prepared at the request of the festival and performed in April 2018 in front of over 3000 people! But Syntheosis is the album and not a live recording. A carefully prepared studio interpretation on which the ten musicians worked in spring and summer 2018. The album was recorded and mixed by Julius Mauranen, who also worked on Oranssi Pazuzu's V?r?htelij?. The album can be understood as a challenging, captivating psych-metal record or as a dimensional, one-hour performance of nine parts. The work tells a story of three beings and their deep search for knowledge.
