With her new studio album "The Skin I'm In", for which she has collaborated with Canadian authors as well as songwriters from Nashville, she has once again expanded her stylistic spectrum. Traditional country sounds mingle with roots, Americana and folk to create a self-confident and coherent melange. But Rheaume is not only a passionate musician, but also a committed activist for humanitarian and political issues. So the messages and background stories of her songs are always just as important to her as the songs themselves. She initiated charity projects, organized the Babes For Breast festival, which raised $140,000 for organizations that care for breast cancer patients, and supports the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ottawa youth organization. The song "Red Dress" is a charity project for the Native Women's Association and referred to the tragedy of 1180 missing and allegedly murdered indigenous women in Canada. In 2014, Amanda Rheaume won the Canadian Folk Music Award for Aboriginal Songwriter of the Year and was nominated for the Juno Award. Musically in the tradition of an Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow and Shania Twain. Produced by Colin Cripps ( Blue Rodeo) at The Bathouse Studio (The Tragically Hip), co-written by Justin Glasco (Andrew Bird, Avril Lavigne) and Tim Bovaconti (Ron Sexsmith), Scott Neubert.
