Characterized by the complex songwriting of Progressive Rock with additional especially dirty and heavy sounds, the Finnish band Wheel brings another gem to the scene with their debut album "Moving Backwards". After the release of the two EPs "The Path" and "The Divide" as well as numerous concerts in Europe (HRH Prog Festival in Wales, Summer Breeze Festival in Germany and a support tour for Amorphis in Finland, to name but a few), the quartet is now increasingly dealing with socially critical topics on their new album. Songs like "Wheel", which follows George Orwell's novel "1984" and looks at society under increasingly intrusive surveillance, as well as the song "Tyrant", which describes the idea of a future where self-determination is extremely regulated, draw a frame around the overarching theme of the album.
