In early 1984 Alcatrazz, the legendary US hard rock band, consisting of the outstanding vocal talent Graham Bonnet (ex-Rainbow and The Michael Schenker Group) and the young guitar genius Yngwie J. Malmsteen, toured through Japan. For the first time their successful show from the Nakano Sun Plaza appears in previously unreleased length and with completely restored, newly mixed and mastered sound. After a long research, the original 24 channel audio multitracks of this unique show were rediscovered, completely restored, remixed and mastered to recreate the true grandeur of the original live performance. This live release is a journey back to 1984, right into the first row of the Nakano Sun Plaza, where the audience is carried away by hits like'Too Young To Die, Too Drunk To Live' to'Island In The Sun' and'Hiroshima Mon Amour' from Alcatraz's debut album'No Parole From Rock'n' Roll'. The band also plays songs from Bonnet's Rainbow repertoire, including'All Night Long','Since You Been Gone' and'Lost In Hollywood' plus'Desert Song' by The Michael Schenker Group and Graham's solo hit'Night Games'. We also witness the beginnings of an up-and-coming, 20-year-old guitar god named Yngwie J. Malmsteen. His magical guitar playing runs through the entire show and is especially evident in solos like'Evil Eye' and'Coming Bach'. For all those who were there, but also for those who couldn't be there or weren't even born yet, the complete show now available is a great way to go back to where it all started.
