New album. He is 65 years old, but simply tireless: Since Alpha Blondy recorded his first songs in the late 1970s, he has released about 20 albums, the first one was released in 1982, and the reggae singer, born in 1953 in Dimbokro, Ivory Coast, still travels the globe to proclaim his positive message at concerts: No more war, hatred and oppression, we are all one family, no matter where we come from or what colour of skin we have. In the words of Alpha Blondy: "Reggae means hope, love and spirituality." His spirit and commitment to peace and justice earned him the nickname "Bob Marley of Africa", he calls himself "African Rasta". In 2005, the United Nations even appointed him peace ambassador for C?te d'Ivoire. To reach as many people as possible with his pop-like Afro-Reggae, he uses different languages. This is no different on "Human Race", here we hear Alpha Blondy and his prominent collaborators - Youssou N'Dour, Fally Ipupa, Ang?lique Kidjo - singing in English, French and the West African idioms Dioula, Lingala, Mina and Wolof
