A tribute to the pioneers of analogue electronic music of the seventies. "Synthesis" is the second compilation that the Hamburg reissue label Bureau B has presented to the New Yorker percussionist Dennis Young, former member of the world music funk band Liquid Liquid. But while "Wave" bundled three cassettes released in the period 1985 to 88 into one sound carrier, the following compilation contains only previously unpublished material. This is inspired by the Synthesizer sounds of the seventies by luminaries like Klaus Schulze, Tim Blake, Larry Fast, Edgar Froese, ELP, Brian Eno and Cluster. Young created the pieces in his home studio in Edison, New Jersey. Here I had It features a variety of analog synthesizers and modulation monsters such as the Korg Mono/Poly, Korg Poly Six and Moog Rogue and later also the digital workstation Korg M1. His recordings he added vocal parts and guitar lines.
