180g. From Diggers To Music Lovers. Four at one swoop is the motto of the sampler series "Wanted Collection" by the French label Wagram. After they had already set the bar high in 2017 with carefully compiled LPs for the genres Funk, Soul, Afrobeat and Reggae, the compilation specialists succeed this year in skilfully setting the bar higher. In 2018 it's the turn of disco, hip-hop and jazz, and as befits the series, each edition will feature remastered highlights of past decades on 180g vinyl, elegantly packaged in appealing vintage cover artwork. The "Wanted Hip-Hop" edition brings together a dozen pieces by beat and rhyming artists that should not be missing from any collection: Kid Frost, Bahamadia, Pete Rock feat. Slum Village, De La Soul, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Pete Rock feat. RZA & GZA and Dilated Peoples - to name but a few.
