Stylistically his solo album ranges from Southern Rock to Blues, Americana to Rock'n'Roll and contains a Tom Waits cover with "Chocolate Jesus". Before his time as a solo artist and guitarist Arkansas Dave was drummer with bands like Guitar Shorty, The Hard Pans, Mickey White and Dr. Zog.
