27 years after their split, Led Zeppelin gave a special concert at the end of November 2007 on the occasion of a tribute concert for the founder of the label Atlantic Records, Ahmet Erteg?n, in London‘s O2 Arena. Shortly after its’ announcement, the band broke all ticket sales records. The tickets (cost: 183 euros) were such popular that the homepage (www.ahmettribute.com), on which one had to register for the ticket raffle, collapsed. It was the biggest demand in history, said the organizer later. According to the organizers, 20 million fans have applied for the approximately 22,000 tickets. One of the most successful bands with over 300 million records sold was also the reason to plan a tribute with many illustrious guests. Those guests honoring the band on a double CD with 17 tracks were Brian Robertson (Motorhead / Thin Lizzy), Doane Perry (Jethro Tull), Tony Franklin (The Firm), Bruce Kulick (ex-KISS), Alan White (YES), Steve Lukather (Toto) , Vinnie Colaiuta (ex Zappa Band), Albert Lee, Keith Emerson (ELP), Walter Trout, Pat Travers, Artimus Pyle (ex Lynyard Skynyrd) and many others !
