To celebrate 50 years of Pink Floyd, who have changed the world of pop culture, The Sword guitarist Kyle Shutt has produced a heavy metal cover of her groundbreaking album' The Dark Side of the Moon'. Under the title "Doom Side of the Moon" the resulting band and the album Shutt and a number of well-known musicians, among them his band mates from The Sword, bassist Bryan Richie and drummer Santiago Vela III, singer Alex Marrero (Brownout/Brown Sabbath), saxophonist Jason Frey (Black Joe Lewis / Hard Proof) and also Jason Frey (Black Joe Lewis / Hard Proof) will present their new album "Doom Side of the Moon". "The idea came to me after I smoked something and wanted to hear a heavy version of' Time',"says Shutt. "I thought, why not just cover the whole album? After I sat down and worked out a few loose concepts, the arrangement for' Money' was made and I realized that I could do it quite simply by putting together a real band. It felt a little weird to mess up someone like Pink Floyd's legacy, but I consider it a tribute to one of the greatest bands ever rocked, a party that everyone is invited to.
