Madinina is the original name of the island of Martinique and means "flower island". After France and Germany, this island was not only a third home for Lydie Auvray for a long time, but also a source of inspiration. In many of her compositions, the cheerful, rhythmic influence of French Antilles' music can be clearly heard. Reason enough to call this compilation of the Caribbean-inspired compositions of the great accordionists. The reason for the releases is Lydie Auvray's 40th stage anniversary: In 1977 she was on tour for the first time in Germany in the band of J?rgen Slopianka. She then worked with Thommie Bayer, Klaus Hoffmann, Hannes Wader, Francis Rossi from Satus Quo, Peter Maffay, Senta Berger, Stefan Remmler and Stoppok, among others. On "Madinina" twelve songs from 1987 to 2006 can be heard. On the CD there are two bonus tracks from the recordings of the live album "En Concert"which was re-released at the same time. The LP comes in coloured vinyl.
