Two years after the release of their last EP "Kairos", their second studio album "Alteration" will be released. For about a year they were working on the new LP in their current line-up. It is a milestone in their band history, the most complete and intensive album they ever produced. The Stuttgart musicians have known each other since adolescence, in 2004 they formed a band. After demos, EPs and a mini-band, where they still drifted in experimental emo core and post-hardcore fields, the first longplayer "Versus" (2011) gave the thrust direction for the sound, which manifests itself on "Alteration" . Today, AN EARLY CASCADE commute between alternative and progressive rock. But the guys still can not be categorized. It is almost impossible to nail them on a genre. The layering of the styles resembles the differentiation of Thrice, the compositional dances the talent of the scene sizes Karnivools, the energetic sound reminiscent of Funeral For A Friend, Circa Survive and even the elegance of Muse. On "Alteration", AN EARLY CASCADE serve melodic and at the same time latently aggressive sound in a decent prog style and at the highest level. Rules and limits are declared enemies of the progressive songwriting of AN EARLY CASCADE. They challenge themselves from release to release musically, you always have the ambition to raise every album to a unique one. This has been achieved with "Alteration". It is an emotionally profound album, its sound sounds internationally without copying. Both on the record and in their live shows, they are distinguished by intensity and energy, resulting in the play of various dynamics.
