Alice In Chains will always be synonymous with the 'grunge' scene and while they were pioneers of the genre alongside fellow Seattle noise grinders Nirvana, they are equally valued as a tour-de-force in metal. Their California shows at La Reina, Sheraton and the Westminster Forum in September 1990 define their celebratory status as Seattle grunge icons, but also reveal the band's raw, inner sanctum. Considered by many fans to be one of their finest concerts, the La Reina show is a significant reminder of the band's embryonic fire and depth.
