Wrekmeister Harmonies are gearing up to release their fifth album to date, Light Falls. To give a glimpse at what is considered to be a magnum opus, the Chicago act have released a trailer for the record. Considered their most sonically diverse, Light Falls will be released via Thrill Jockey Records on September 16th. The two core members JR Robinson (guitar, vocals) and Esther Shaw (piano, violin, keyboards, vocals) are joined by Godspeed You! Black Emperor musicians Thierry Amar on bass and contrabass; Sophie Trudeau on piano, violin and vocals; and Timothy Herzog on drums. Light Falls also features guest appearances from Chicago musicians Riley Walker and Cooper Crain. This lineup — along with 30 other musicians — have put together a seven song record that is highly anticipated amongst doom and ambient projects alike.
