"Smile Jamaica" is the new various artists album by the German soundsystem and producer team Silly Walks Discotheque from Hamburg. Since their last album "Sorms of Life" from 2012, Silly Walks have scored some massive worldwide Reggae hits such as "Smile Jamaica" by Chronixx and "Dreams of Brighter Days" by Busy Signal & RC, both featured on the new album. Most of the tracks are brand new exclusives and feature vocalists like Jesse Royal, Ikaya, Gentleman & Torch, Patrice, Marcia Griffiths, Assassin a.k.a. Agent Sasco and Christopher Martin to name a few. Most of the riddims on the album have been played by Gentleman's fantastic band "the Evolution", lead by the drummer Joe Coppola, while other riddims have been programmed by Jr Blender who has been working on most of Silly Walks' recent releases as well as on Major Lazer's last album including the smash hit "Lean On". The overall sound of the album is contemporary, yet classic. Parts of the riddims have been recorded on original 1960s analog equipment only, while others are state-of -the-art modern Club Reggae. The exact tracklist and further details will be announced early in april. The album release is part of a campaign that accompanies the 25th anniversary of Silly Walks soundsystem that will take the crew on a tour all over Europe and abroad this summer. 3 music videos are planned to support the release as well as an extended print-, online- and radiocampaign with Ads, banners, mailouts and various other promotion activities
