The Avalanches have long been at work on the follow up to 2000’s well-loved Since I Left You, and we’ve heard all sorts of rumors about what the album might sound like. Tonight, after debuting their brand new single “Frankie Sinatra,” which features MF DOOM and Danny Brown, they finally announced a new record. Wildflower is out July 8 via Astralwerks/Modular/EMI/XL. In addition to DOOM and Brown, they revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe that the album features Father John Misty, Toro Y Moi, Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux, Camp Lo, Biz Markie, Mercury Rev's Jonathan Donahue, and Warren Ellis of the Bad Seeds/Dirty Three. (Father John Misty, Herrema, and Brown previously appeared in a teaser video for the album called “Since They Left Us.”)
