Willow Mae makes internationally high-quality Pop / Folk with influences from Jazz. In her songs she expresses her personal longing and search for a blissful love. In a world full of independence and the fear of missing something, she asks how she can be free and dependent on someone at the same time. How do we find each other in harmony to create strong relationships, families and a strong and healthy society? She presents all this with a band consisting of 8-16 people. Her debut album is called "Song of Songs" and will be released in early 2020, with songs by Willow Mae inspired by Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Sting. Sometimes you can hear Alanis Morissette, sometimes her music is poetic, like Noa. But it always remains Willow Mae! The instrumentation of vocals, background vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keys, bass and drums is refreshing and shows high international potential. The Dutch artist Willemijn Van Helden calls herself Willow Mae. She is a trained singer and has successfully completed various conservatories in her home country. Her multidisciplinary show, a mixture of music theatre and concert, is an intense adventure with lyrical music, spoken word and live visuals. This has earned her an excellent reputation in her home country of the Netherlands, which is now set to spread to neighbouring countries. The CD "Song of Songs" is published in an elaborate hardcover book with 60 pages booklet.
