The story behind this compilation: On January 3, 2016 my son, daughter inlaw and grandson were in a tragic gas explosion/fire. I immediately flew to the hospital in North Carolina, when I arrived they were all on life support. I have been taking care of them for over 3 years now.. It's been a long tough road to get them the best recovery possible. My touring, recording and my art exhibitions came to a full stop. It's been a very intensive challenge. My identity and how I connected to the world changed. I'm taking care of my twelve-year-old Grandson Cayden 24/7. Keeping him caught up in school, taking him to his surgeries, therapy appointments, Boy Scouts, sports, etc. We really put the miles on our car! Throughout this experience my friends, fans and angels have come to our aid and helped us financially through this challenge. Without them we would never have made it. This experience has humbled me and brought me to my knees many times. Many months ago I received a message from a friend in Portugal, Rodrigo, he proposed to have Bands/Artists donate songs for a compilation album that he could sell in order to get money to help me support my family through this tragedy. Rodrigo started receiving songs. Around this time Mike Hudson from the Pagans had just finished recording with a friend of Rodrigo, Hugo who wrote the songs and played the guitars on a Pagans single release. Mike heard about the 'Tribute Album' and asked Rodrigo and I if he could 'Curate' it. Mike collected a few songs from people on my behalf but then very unfortunately Mike passed away (RIP Mike). A friend of Mike's Richard Duguay contacted me and said he could help take over where Mike left off. When Richard got involved the concept changed, he was looking for Artists to cover my songs for a single, that didn't develop easily. The musicians lived on different coasts and scheduling was difficult. Richard dedicated a massive amount of work but logistics made it very hard to organize. At that point the frequency of my grandson's surgeries slowed down a bit, instead of one surgery every month he was having a surgery every few months I reconnected with Rodrigo and said I should reach out to my friends personally to see if they wanted to contribute one of their own songs to the Tribute/ Benefit compilation. I sent a few messages out and the response was overwhelmingly positive! Cool bands were sending in songs left and right! Rodrigo connected me with Hugo (from Algarve, Portugal). Hugo is THE major mover, shaker, Angel and dedicated friend involved in this triple album!!. Without him this album wouldn't exist! I can't praise Hugo enough for the efforts he has put into this!It's been an immense project for him. We did have record companies and contacts that we're going to put this out but in the end it turned out they were taking way too long to provide a release date. By now we had 70 bands that gave songs. I felt very obligated to make sure this really came out. So what we've done is borrow money to get this album pressed. Hugo has a great contact to a sweet man named Carlos who is pressing the album at a very reasonable price. Hugo and I reached out directly to friends who are distributors. The pressing still costs many thousands and we're hoping this project makes a bit of profit. I am going to offer this album on FB and IG, it will also be available in shops and on the internet. If you're reading this you have become one of the Angels that has helped make this real. Something I forgot to mention is the lineup and the songs on this album are over the top amazing, great and insanely fantastic ! There's something for everyone in here, if there's a song that pisses you off just scroll to the next one and you'll hear something that sends you to heaven and back. Lots of heart, soul and bad assed music on these 3 discs! - Sonny Vincent
