Snapshot: A Scene on the Move - the German DIY and Post-Punk Underground 1979-84. Keith McIvor is a Scottish DJ, producer and label boss who has been DJing since the mid-eighties. In 1997 he joined forces with Jonnie Wilkes to form the DJ duo Optimo. This first organized in Glasgow, later also in the rest of the world a party night of the same name, at which the two still have a great time today. Mix a wide range of styles from techno to leftfield to noise. "Creatures of the night" forms the prelude a new compilation series published by JD Twitch in collaboration with Strut. The premiere is Classics and rarities from the German DIY and post-punk scene of the early eighties. One productive time of a new beginning, which will take place in the underground of Berlin, D?sseldorf, Cologne and Hamburg between Downhill, The Collapsing New Buildings, Malaria, Ata Tak and The Plan Remarkable Results brought forth. "Creatures of the Night" has no claim to completeness, JD Twitch simply diced the pieces by, for example, Weltklang, Mania D., P1/E, Andreas Dorau, Die Haut or Exkurs together, the have been particularly caught in his ear in recent years.
