The WheelWalkers do without the usual noise. Understatement is the basic attitude! Unpretentious, relaxed, but with a brightly blazing inner fire, the Cologne quartet presents on their debut "Can't Fake It" cultivated singer-songwriter-pop, which makes use of beat, swing, blues, country, tango or rock'n'roll. Each song is a little road trip through the world of unfulfilled dreams and disappointed feelings, the >Boy meets Girl< stories with uncertain ending. The lyrics are biting, subtle and full of ironic shoals. The fourteen compositions were written by Oliver Hehemann, founder of the band, singer, co-producer, Beatles fan, heart and brain of the band. In 2017 the EP "Can't Fake It" is released. In spring 2018 the EP will be increased to LP under the same title. Dieter Krauthausen (Marius M?ller-Westernhagen and others) is again behind the mixing console as sound engineer/producer. In front of him - in the studio - are J?rg Meinhardt on bass, Tonino Giannattasio on drums and Robert Kril on guitar. "Can't Fake It" is full of surprises and fine instrumental inlays. You can hear the organ and choir in the dragging and slow "Rainbow", the whining violin in "I Don't Know", the melodic class of "Clouds Passing By" or the single "Sail Away".
