180g, Pink Vinyl. For the 25th anniversary of Ween's third studio album, Schnitzel is releasing an exclusive LP edition of "Pure Guava". The work recorded with a 4-track recorder was released by Major Elektra as the successor of the bizarre long-player "The Pod" - but what does it mean in an experimental band like Weens? Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween) and Aaron Freeman (Gene Ween) cultivated a surreal avant-garde style over the decades, writing music history. Many of the songs on "Pure Guava" were taken from two tapes that the two non-brothers had previously recorded for friends. The first one was called "Springtape", the second one was called "The Caprice Classic Tape". With "Push th' Little Daisies""Pure Guava" probably contains the most famous song by Ween, who climbed to 21st place in the charts. Other popular songs on the album are "Flies On My Dick" and "Hey Fat Boy (Asshole)".
