Ed Askew is a visual artist and singer/songwriter who lives in New York. At the age of almost 80, he can look back on such a varied and unusual career. 1968 the his debut album "Ask The Unicorn" at the avant-garde label ESP-Disk. With this he found that in the company of greats like Ornette Coleman or Pharaoh Sanders. But what Askew didn't do the psychedelic folk record flopped. Nevertheless, he continued to produce music - and bunkered the Recordings in his archive. Until the beginning of the noughties, the labels De Stijl and Drag City have been selling their qualities and started releasing Askew's songs. In particular, the 2013 album "For The World" left a great media response and directed the public Tin Angel was brought out. By now at the latest, Askew was back in business.
