Some hardcore bands draw their influences from life in the suburbs, some orient themselves to their predecessors, some are influenced by their experiences on tour. AYS, founded in Wegberg and now home to Dusseldorf, fall into the latter category. On his new album, "World Unknown", the quintet combines the private impressions of the many tours of Asia by Frontman and graphic artist Schommer with their experiences of their tours through the continent. The result is a brachial ride through all the gloomy-doomed hardcores - and An impressive testimony of how much the step from the west-oriented comfort zone can be worthwhile, the foundation founded by the band, founded in 2002.
