The label Trojan launches a new vinyl series to his greatest hits - make it accessible to a new generation of vinyl buyers - each sorted by genre. The first part is dedicated to "Ska". Pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl, unforgettable hits were summarized from the golden era of the 70's on this album. With The Skatalites, Desmond Dekker and Lord Tanamo some of the big names of the genre are united on this compilation. Trojan Records was founded in 1967 by Chris Blackwell & Lee Gopthal (both also concerned at the time with Iceland Records). Through their personal trips to Jamaica they attached the contacts to the main producers and musicians of the island and built their careers in parallel in Europe.
