Misty Eyed Adventures' is the second solo album by Irish musician M?ire Brennan, now known as Moya Brennan, and features many of her family and friends on the recording. She is the older sister of Enya and Br?d?n Brennan. She began performing professionally in 1970 when her family formed the band Clannad and is considered to be the 'First Lady of Celtic Music'. There is much variety in the instrumental sound here. Of particular note is the Arabian-style playing on the bouzouki in 'Days Of The Dancing'. Although M?ire mixes English and Gaelic lyrics on many songs, only 'A Place Among The Stones' seems fully Celtic in inspiration. Her sister Enya is perhaps better known, but M?ire is just as good in her own way.
