Founded in 2007, the debut about High Roller came in 2012, which is sold out in the meantime - but no reason to mourn: the second record is carved out of the same wood as its predecessor - or, almost: Wasn't there something wrong with Sleaze...? Screaming Rock Believers" is an official step in the right direction for Bunker 66, and it's going full throttle backwards: the Sicilian's second album sounds much more like' 84 than' 86! In songwriting, you're more dynamic and freer, and at the same time the band has perfected the recipe for their delicious DIY metal/punk brew: Former Black Metal provides the necessary nastiness, speed and aggression come from the D-beat- Punk - think of Venom, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Discharge, Carnivore, Sodom... Drummer Desekrator of the Altar sums it up nicely "If you don't like vinyl, leather and metal from hell, stop reading right away! Still at it? Good! Songs like "On the Prowl" and "(She's got) Demon Eyes" come with great hooks and choruses to the fist in the air, the title track sets with a cool early M?tley-Cr?e-Riff one (!), and then there was something with the opener..."Hey, we are really proud of the song! Would you ever think that your beloved bunkers would cover 66 times what from this absolute hate album, Cold Lake' ccover?" Not at all! But what was an embarrassing attempt at hair metal at Celtic Frost, Bunker 66 turns into a snotty metal/punk Jewel - with a thick, greasy crust of dirt. The mixing was done by Bunker 66 - guitarist B. Incinerator, for the mastering Tardon Feathered from Mr. Toad's studio in San Gustavia Francisco, who also has Bunker 66's "Out of the Bunker" analog remasterd. The sound on "Screaming Rock Believers" is even more oldschoolish than on "Infern?Intercept?rs": no more bass distortion, less gain on guitars, and D. Thorne also has the nerve to do clean vocals every now and then:"Actually, we wanted a sound like on' Don't Break the Oath', but we have failed somehow and now we don't know what to compare with - do you have an idea?"
