Blackfield is the acclaimed collaboration between Steven Wilson and Israeli artist Aviv Geffen. Formed after a meeting in 2000, the partnership blossomed into a cross-cultural collaboration. In recent years Steven has reduced his role in the project to contributing guitar, occasional vocals, and mixing, while Aviv has taken on all the production and writing, with various guest singers now also involved. This 2 CD set with slipcase and 8 page colour booklet packages the last 2 Blackfield studio albums together. 2011’s Welcome To My DNA was the last album with significant involvement from Steven (who wrote the song “Waving”), while 2013’s Blackfield IV saw Aviv take over the project fully. The album featured guest vocalists Brett Anderson (Suede), Jonathan Donahue (Mercury Rev) and Vincent Cavanagh (Anathema).
