At the age of four Christophe Chassol (born 1976) attended a music school, at 17 he studied jazz, at 21 he founded his first band, an orchestra of 24 musicians. Later Chassol worked with Phoenix and S?bastien Tellier. He is considered one of the most innovative composers, producers and arrangers in France. His predecessor Big Sun also brought him to the Hamburg Elbjazz-Festival. The record included a number of experimental jazz pieces and is closely linked to the sights and sounds of New Orleans, India and Martinique, the birthplace of his family.
