Peter Bruntnell's long musical CV pays off once again. Nos Da Comrade, his latest album (2016), is brilliant. Mr. Bruntnell creates just the right blend of up-tempo, pop melodies with songs of love and love lost, along with some 60's sensibilities and quiet harmonies. Other times, the groove is more on the line of Foo Fighters--the less screamy side of Grohl. He waxes political on the first song, "Mr. Sunshine", where scathing words are thinly masked by an addictive pop melody and jangling guitar.
